“Visited Taman Botani UKM and had a wonderful opportunity to explore the rich diversity of fern species thriving in its lush and tropical environment. Among the many types observed, the Pokok Paku Gajah (Elephant Fern) stood out due to its remarkable size and majestic appearance. This ancient fern known for its large fronds and robust structure and it also testament to the evolutionary resilience of non-flowering vascular plants. It was truly fascinating to witness the variety of forms, textures, and growth patterns among different fern species for each adapted uniquely to their environment. This experience deepened all generation appreciation for these often-overlooked plants that play a vital role in forest ecosystems and plant biodiversity.
