Our town planner, Muhammad Aliff Nurhaqeem, had the opportunity to visit Vatican City, the world’s smallest independent state, located within Rome. Despite its size, Vatican City holds significant global influence through its history, architecture, and cultural heritage.
During the visit, he explored St. Peter’s Basilica, one of the most iconic architectural landmarks in the world. Renowned for its grand dome, intricate interior design, and masterful artworks by renowned artists, the basilica represents centuries of architectural innovation and craftsmanship.
The visit offered valuable insights into historical urban planning, monumental architecture, and the preservation of heritage within a compact city state,an inspiring experience from a planning and design perspective.
