Planning Permission Application Flowchart
Planning permission is permission granted with or without conditions to carry out development. Development: means carrying out any building, engineering, mining, industrial or any other similar work on, on, over or under land, making any material change in the use of any land or building or any Part thereof, or break boundaries or annex land; and “advancing” shall be construed accordingly.
“No person, other than a local authority shall commence, undertake, or carry out any development unless Planning Permission in respect of such development has been granted to him under Section 22 or extended under subsection 24 (3).”
subsection 19(1) of Act 172 – Town and Country Planning Act 1976 (Act 172):
The planning permission process begins with the preparation of development proposal documents, plans and reports. This process usually takes 2 to 4 weeks. in addition, during this period the town planners will also pre-consult with the technical department of the local authority. once all the documents are available, the online application will be made by the registered applicant, that is, the town planner.
After finished, the hard copy can be sent in and will be held up until the OSC meeting. The choice will be made, and the process of endorsement will proceed.
