Aberystwyth Trip

27 June 2025 – Our town planner, Aliff Nurhaqeem, recently embarked on a memorable 3-day journey to Aberystwyth, Wales, a coastal gem known for its sweeping sea views, historical landmarks, and vibrant local culture. The 4-hour drive from Bristol was an adventure in itself, offering breathtaking views of rolling hills and majestic mountains that perfectly captured the natural beauty of the Welsh countryside.
During his stay in the peaceful village of Llanilar, just a short distance from Aberystwyth, he enjoyed the calm rhythm of rural life while still being close to the heart of the town. One of the standout moments of the trip was his hike up Constitution Hill, where he was rewarded with panoramic views over Cardigan Bay and the charming townscape below, a perfect spot to pause and take it all in.
He also took time to explore the historic ruins of Aberystwyth Castle, perched dramatically on the coastline, offering a glimpse into the region’s medieval past. The weathered stone walls and open sea beyond made for a truly atmospheric experience. Adding a dynamic twist to the trip, Aliff witnessed the excitement of the Aberystwyth Cycle Festival, a local cycling event that brought energy and community spirit to the streets of Aberystwyth.
From peaceful countryside stays to exploring ancient ruins and soaking in the excitement of local events, Aliff’s journey was a rich blend of discovery, inspiration, and appreciation for the unique charm that Aberystwyth has to offer.
