Our town planner, Muhammad Aliff Nurhaqeem, had the chance to experience Venice, Italy. A city celebrated for its unconventional urban structure and atmospheric character.
Rather than wide roads and vehicles, Venice is defined by its canals, pedestrian pathways, and historic bridges, creating a slow-paced and immersive city experience. Every turn reveals compact buildings, hidden squares, and architectural details that reflect centuries of adaptation to a water-based environment.
Exploring the city offered a fresh perspective on urban life, demonstrating how movement, space, and daily activities can be shaped by geography, heritage, and careful preservation of the city’s original fabric.
