Our town planner, Muhammad Aliff Nurhaqeem, had the opportunity to visit Sri Lanka, specifically Colombo and Katunayake
.
Colombo, is a vibrant city that blends modern urban development with rich cultural heritage.
During the visit, he explored the iconic Red Mosque (Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque), a historic landmark built in 1908 and well known for its striking red-and-white façade, which has become one of Colombo’s most recognizable symbols.
Getting around the city highlights the local lifestyle, with public buses serving as the main and affordable mode of transportation, while tuk-tuks offer a convenient and flexible way to travel short distances.
An insightful experience that provided valuable exposure to international urban environments and cultural landmarks.
